Treatment Foster Parents Needed! The Treatment Foster Care program is a foster family- and community- based approach to providing services to children with special needs. Children in this program include those who are receiving treatment services for various reasons, including but not limited to: emotional, mental, medical, alcohol or other drug abuse, cognitive, intellectual, behavioral, and developmental reasons. Foster children in this program are typically aged 8 to 16.
If you or someone you know would like to make a difference in the life of a child in need by becoming a treatment foster parent, please call Colleen at 902-1559 or Mary at 902-1579.
Treatment

Family Development Program Provides intensive case management, family assessment and services for families when an adult has a severe disability or is the caregiver of an incapacitated family member. (W2-T) Case management staff obtain social security disability benefits, community resources and/or employment based on each family's circumstances.
Safety Services Program A short-term in-home program that works intensely with families to ensure child safety and connect families with community resources for longer-term assistance. Case managers complete weekly safety assessments and family home visits.
Foster Home Recruitment and Licensing Recruits and licenses foster parents for children requiring individualized care and planning. Staff provides comprehensive pre-license training and monthly ongoing training and support.
Wraparound Program Coordinates services to empower children and families to live productive lives within the community. A collaborative effort with the child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health and educational systems allows for community-based alternatives to residential treatment or psychiatric hospitalization. The program emphasizes utilizing natural supports already available within the family and community. La Causa's Technical Assistant Specialist works with all Wraparound agencies and provides individual planning and recruitment of homes for children requiring less restrictive placement.
