Visual Arts

In this course elementary students will encounter a variety of art media while doing hands-on activities that promote self-expression and self-esteem. Students will explore art through cultures while discovering similarities and differences to their own culture. The class will integrate literacy to help improve reading skills through art exploration. Visual art classes are also offered as an elective to middle school students to expose them to a variety of art media in preparation for high school and beyond. Students will showcase their talents by participating in community and school art events and large scale art projects throughout the year.
