1st Grade Diorama's - Dec. 7, 2011Ms. Gandolfo's 1st Grade Diorama's

We love to showcase La Causa students work and the following is just one of the wonderful things that are being taught here at our school. Ms. Gandolfo's first grade classroom were studying habitats and decided to create habitats of their own! The following is an explanation from Ms. Gandolfo:

"We are studying habitats in science. I thought how fun it would be to create a habitat instead of only reading about it. One student brought a small toy animal to show to the class and I told him; "Where does your animal live, can you make a home for him?' So then it began. Everyone brought toy animals and created habitats for them. The kids seemed so exited that they themselves came up with many more ideas! They used recycled materials like boxes, paper, sticks, rocks, etc... Even parents participated and had fun creating the dioramas with their children!"

- Ms. Gandolfo, 1st Grade Teacher

We are proud of our students beautiful work! Their pictures are showcased on our photo gallery. If you would like to view Ms. Gandolfo's class dioramas click here!
