Giving Programs

We exist because of the continuous support of those who believe in our mission. You truly make the difference in the programs and services that we provide to our children and families. You can support the important work of La Causa through an individual contribution in the form of the following:

• Cash Gifts – Cash gifts may be in the form of currency, checks, money orders or credit cards or donate stock or property. Once your gift is received, we will provide a letter of receipt for your tax files.
• Pledge – A pledge is a promise to give. A pledge is immediately recognized and you can set up your payments as you wish. You may pledge a one-time gift or a donation to be paid over a number of months or years.
• Matching Gifts – Some companies match donations of their employees with a corporate gift. Usually, the company will provide you with a form to include with your donation. La Causa signs and return the form, and the company will match your contribution.
• Memorials and Tributes – Donate a gift in honor of a special occasion or in memory of a loved one or a friend.
• Planned Giving – Planned giving is arranging to make a donation to an organization in the future. Often it is done in the form of a provision in a will or a charitable trust.
• Bequests – A bequest is a gift made through a will or living trust. The bequest instructs the executor, upon a death, to pay a fixed sum or a percentage of an estate, as a charitable gift to La Causa.

• Endowments – An endowment is a special form of account held by a not-for-profit organization. With prudent investment, an endowment that began with a gift of $100,000, for example, might grow to two or three times that amount in just a short period of time. As the value of the fund grows, so does the annual dividend used for the mission of the endowment.
