Social Services
La Causa’s Social Services program provides a strength based approach through comprehensive community services and therapeutic treatment options for children, families, and individuals to support personal growth and self-sufficiency. Social Services staff is comprised of highly trained bilingual care coordinators, specialists, advocates, and licensed mental health and AODA clinicians.
Programs and Services
Treatment Foster Care:
Places and serves youth with serious emotional, behavior, or medical problems.
Foster Home Recruitment and Licensing:
Recruits, licenses and trains foster parents for children with treatment and delinquency issues.
Delinquency and Court Service Case Management:
Serves delinquent youth who are placed in foster care.
Treatment Services:
Treats individuals, parents and children with AODA and/or mental health concerns in a licensed outpatient clinic.
Wraparound:
Provides individualized community-based services for emotionally disturbed children and their families who are court ordered.
Wraparound REACH:
Provides voluntary services for children and youth with serious emotional and mental health needs and offers support for their families.
SSI Advocacy:
Serves W-2 families who are not able to work and need assistance in obtaining SSDI/SSI based on their disability.
During 2008:
- 1,520 individuals served
- 70 children and teens served in Treatment Foster Care
- 133 homes actively recruited for Foster Home Recruitment and Licensing
- 802 individuals served by Treatment Services
- 224 clients served through Wraparound
- 112 families served by Wraparound REACH
- 201 individuals served through SSI Advocacy with 55 SSI/SSD awards
