Range: $48,959.00 to $54,112.00 (Based on Experience)
*Annual wage will be pro-rated based on start date and/or full-time/part-time status, base wage is contingent upon the employee actively working the full year, unpaid days off will adjust wage for that specific pay-period.

Primary Function
This position is a key team member of the department and is responsible for overseeing areas of fund development and community engagement that includes raising agency visibility through direct and indirect marketing strategies. At least 50% of the time will be spent on grant duties.
Primary Duties

- Research, analyze, report, track and follow-up on grants opportunities using all possible methods (i.e., Internet, phone calls to local foundations and other potential grantors, etc.), and develop and complete grant request for submittal. E
- Manage and facilitate grant tracking and reporting grant activity. Maintain calendar/timeline for annual grant planning. E
- Responsible for ensuring full compliance of grants received, share grant information with all interested stakeholders, provide interpretation of agreements, contracts, grants, and monitor performance once it has been received. E
- Maintain the fundraising database (Razor’s Edge) which includes accurate entry of information, maintaining records, preparing acknowledgement letters and receipts, generating reports, etc. E
- Responsible for participating in donor cultivation including outreach via visits, calls, e-mails, mailings, researching new donors, etc. E
- Assist and participate with the coordination of events and special projects including the annual fundraiser, mailings, responding to donors, volunteers, and the public, etc. NE
- Responsible for the recruiting, coordination of all volunteers. NE
- Provide support to the President & CEO as requested. This includes assisting with board relations, coordinating all board and committee meetings, and working closely with the CEO to carryout assignments as needed. E
- Assist with the recruitment and coordination of volunteers. E
- Be an ambassador for the agency by presenting in a positive light and helping maintain high visibility to the community. E
- Assist with social media, website updates, and newsletters E
- Attend all meetings, committees, conferences, and professional development activities, and serve on committee(s), as requested . NE
- Perform other duties as assigned. NE

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Journalism, Communications, Nonprofit Management or other closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum three (3) years of formal writing experience in a professional and/or technical setting such as grant writing, investigative reporting, freelance writing, or journalist.
- Experience using Raiser’s Edge fundraising software. (Highly desirable)
- Bilingual, Spanish (Desirable)
- Neat orderly person with great organizational skills.
- Must be a “People Person” with a great disposition and outlook on life, who enjoys working with others, is upbeat and pleasant to work with and is a good listener.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as needed.
