PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for providing administrative support to Department of Employee Services & Benefits
Primary Duties
PRIMARY DUTIES:

- Provide administrative supportive services with the Employee Services and Benefits team as requested. E
- Prepare, process, and follow up all employment verifications, employee references, id badges & control log, background checks, end of employment documentation and close process. E
- Responsible for audits prep, tuition support request, employee data entry and documentation into HRIS system. E
- Prepare and create reports as requested for ES&B E
- Excellent abilities in word processing, spreadsheets, and data bases with experience in using Microsoft Office suite.
- Coordinate, prepare and perform new hire orientation E
- Support the team at all locations on projects and special assignments. NE
- Provide administrative/clerical assistance for Support Services as needed (mailings, archiving, etc.). E
- Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all stakeholders. E
- Attend all meetings and professional development activities, as directed. NE
10. Follow all duties of a mandated reporter. E
11. Perform other related duties, as assigned. NE

Required Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Associate Degree or 60 credits or more from an accredited College or University in Human Resources , Labor Relations, Wage & Benefits, or closely related Human Services field. or High School Diploma plus six (6) years’ experience as an administrative assistant working in a Human Resource setting.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as Human Resources administrative High School Diploma and 6 years of experience as Human Resources administrative clerical assistance.
- Significant knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent listener, courteous, respectful, and a good people person.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English), spoken and written. (Highly Preferred)
- Strong communication skills, cultural competency, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, highly developed organizational skills, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Able to occasionally work flexible hours, including evenings, depending on agency needs.
- Transportation, valid Wisconsin Driver’s license, state minimum auto insurance, and must meet La Causa, Inc. driving standards.
- Must successfully pass all background checks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is generally performed in office and meeting environments, including infrequent local travel. Flexible hours required; as dictated by program needs.
