PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of early education curriculum, for the professional development of staff, and for assisting the Director of Early Education and Care with the day-to-day operations of the center, as needed, and during his/her absence.

BILINGUAL POSITIONS MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM ALL OF THE DUTIES LISTED BELOW IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH:
1. Serve as a back-up for Director and provide support and oversight to the EEC program and staff as needed and/or during his/her absence. E
2. Supervise, evaluate, manage, and train/develop staff in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the agency and work closely with the Department of Human Resources to manage all personnel items (i.e.; interviewing, hiring, discipline actions, etc.). E
3. Develop, implement, manage, monitor, assess, and/or oversee all aspects of early childhood curriculum in collaboration with applicable stakeholders (i.e.; staff, etc.) to include, but not limited to: collaboration with staff to ensure curriculum meets or exceed compliance standards, develop appropriate curriculum and instruction programs for special education and bilingual education students, coordinate the collection and maintenance of assessment data, assist with plans for transitioning and incoming/outgoing children, etc. E
4. Ensure compliance with legal, organizational, and contractual requirements, laws and policies to include, but not limited to: audits, program evaluations and recommendations, licensing standards, new or enhanced policies and procedures. E
5. Assist with all aspects of the NAC accreditation, YoungStar, etc. implementation and maintenance. E
6. Follow and ensure legal, organizational and contractual requirements, laws and policies (i.e.; NAC, YoungStar, etc.). E
7. Prepare, complete, distribute, and/or submit required items by due dates; to include, but not limited to: reports, statistical data, evaluations, Personnel Action Records, Worker’s Compensation reports, investigations, etc. E
8. Implement and/or practice the duties of a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse under current policies and procedures, as required. E
9. Attend all meetings and professional development activities, as directed. E
10. Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration and cooperation with all stakeholders (i.e., parents, teachers, counselors, etc.). NE
11. Perform other duties as assigned. NE
Required Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
1. Associate degree from an accredited college in Early Childhood Education with Administrator Credentials.
2. Registry standing of 14 or higher; including Training Endorsement.
3. Two (2) years of experience in administration or supervision of an Early Childhood Center.
4. Developed competencies in team building, leadership, and training.
5. Eligible to work near children according to state licensing requirements.
6. Knowledgeable about the Creative Curriculum and Accreditation Criteria.
7. Bilingual (Spanish and English) required.
8. Strong cultural competency and interpersonal relationship skills.
9. Strong communication skills, written and verbal, appropriate to target audiences across multiple functional areas, categories, levels, linguistic, and economic backgrounds; both in a team and individual environment.
10. Excellent critical thinking; able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
11. Highly developed organizational skills and able to manage multiple priorities.
12. Knowledge and experience with experience in using Microsoft Office suite.
13. Transportation, valid Wisconsin Driver’s license, state minimum auto insurance, and must meet La Causa, Inc. driving standards.
14. Must successfully complete and pass all background checks to include, but not limited to: Criminal History, TB Testing, and Physical.
15. Able to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, depending on program needs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is generally performed in office/day care environments. Flexible hours required; as dictated by program needs.
