PRIMARY FUNCTION: Acts as the liaison between school staff, students, and parents involving student behavior. Primary school resource specifically in the areas of behavioral and disciplinary prevention and intervention services with an emphasis on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Response to Intervention (RTI).

PRIMARY DUTIES:

- Develop and implement all policies, guidelines and procedures involving discipline and behavior of students. E
- Support and co-plan with teachers to develop student behavior management plans and strategies and behavior improvement strategies, including observations to provide feedback on classroom management. E
- Maintain up-to-date training in CPI and serve as the school-wide trainer. E
- Develop a positive school climate through rituals, routines, and celebrations that nurture a culture of belonging. E
- Develop, implement, and monitor a school-wide “Student “Character Training” curriculum that will instill the importance of the “Six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.
- Be highly present and visible during school hours, ensuring that the school has an appropriately supportive and structured school culture. E
- Address bus misbehavior referrals and students’ inappropriate use of technology, apply appropriate consequences, and maintain appropriate documentation. E
- Communicate with students, parents, and staff regarding student behavior and document accordingly in Infinite Campus. E
- Serve as a key member of PBIS implementation team, coordinate/lead staff development activities related to PBIS implementation and maintain Tier 2 and 3 behavior data for BIT and school improvement planning. E
- Maintain a commitment to learning about best practices in student behavior management. E
- Attend meetings and professional development activities, as required, and host professional development for staff as requested. E
- Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all students, parents, co-workers, etc. E
- Follow all duties of a mandated reporter. E
- Perform other related duties, as assigned. NE

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, or other closely related field from an accredited University or College
- Valid WI DPI License
- Three (3) year’s classroom experience
- Bilingual (Spanish and English), spoken and written (Highly Preferred)
- Neat orderly person with great organizational skills.
- Must be a “People Person” with a great disposition and outlook on life, who enjoys working with others, is upbeat and pleasant to work with and is a good listener.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, written and verbal
- Must pass all background checks.

Work is generally performed in classroom and school environments. Some infrequent local/state-wide travel.
