JOB LOCATION: Charter School (Responsible for working with applicable stakeholders to promote academic, emotional, and behavioral success to enhance student achievement.)
Primary Duties
Legend: E = Essential / NE = Non Essential / N/A = Not Applicable
- Facilitate all aspects of needs assessments and treatment plans to include, but not limited to conducting diagnostic evaluations, referring appropriate cases to specialized skills or programs, and providing treatment to children utilizing a variety of psychological interventions. E
- Ensure IDEA compliance in collaboration with applicable stakeholders and the district. E
- Support, assist, and serve as a liaison for special education programming and assessment. E
- Develop and enhance the special education program based identified needs. E
- Follow legal, organizational and contractual requirements, laws, and policies (i.e. ethical codes of profession, MPS, etc.). E
- Prepare, complete, distribute, and/or submit required items by due dates. E
- Implement the duties of a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse under current policies and procedures, as required. E
- Attend all meetings, workshops, and professional development activities, as directed. E
- Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all stakeholders (i.e., parents, teachers, school administration, MPS representatives, etc.). E
- Perform other duties as assigned. NE
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Master’s degree from an accredited school in Psychology or related field required.
- WI DPI License in Psychology field required.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ work or field experience working with children and families strongly preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required for bilingual positions.
- Neat orderly person with great organizational skills.
- Must be a “People Person” with a great disposition and outlook on life, who enjoys working with others, is upbeat and pleasant to work with and is a good listener.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, written and verbal
- Must pass all background checks.
