PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for developing plans and programs that will recruit new students and families as well as retain current students and families; Monitor and report on student/family temperament/climate, and work with Leadership Team to develop plans that will ensure parents and students are satisfied with their school experience. Represent, promote, and be the school’s “Head Cheerleader”.
Primary Duties
PRIMARY DUTIES:

- Provide the most current and research-based services and resource information. E
- Address the social and emotional needs of the students (educational and community resource materials, conduct home visits, foster parent involvement in the education of their child, coordinate services, individual/group counseling, classroom workshops, crisis intervention, leadership development, etc.). E
- Facilitate and maintain an innovative plan to increase attendance and address attendance issues accordingly. E
- Participate in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) (conduct required social histories, attend meetings, foster collaboration, complete and submit required documentation, etc.). E
- Be an active member of the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) team.
- Prepare, complete, distribute, and/or submit required items by due. E
- Comply with legal, organizational, and contractual requirements, laws and policies. E
- Attend meetings and professional development activities, as requested. E
- Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all stakeholders (ex: parents, teachers, co-workers, etc.). E
- Follow all duties of a mandated reporter. E
- Perform other related duties, as assigned. E
- Be a team player. E
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited college/university.
- Valid WI DPI License in applicable area or ability to obtain/apply for emergency license within two (2) weeks from date of hire.
- Must be Bilingual (English and Spanish).
- Experience working with children and families strongly preferred.
- Able to demonstrate positive cultural intelligence with diverse groups and individuals.
- Excellent critical thinking, organizational skills, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication, verbal and written, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with others.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Transportation, valid Wisconsin Driver’s license, state minimum auto insurance, and must meet La Causa, Inc. driving standards.
- Must be able to successfully pass criminal history background checks.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regularly required to stand, sit, reach, stoop, bend, and walk. Infrequent lifting may be encountered. Must be able to pass TB, drug testing, and physical.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is generally performed in a school environment. Local travel required; some statewide travel may be necessary.
