PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for the recruitment and licensing of families to become treatment foster parents/respite providers. Will also assist Treatment Foster Care Specialists with caseloads (providing services to individuals, parents, and children with AODA and/or mental health concerns) when needed.

- Responsible for identifying and recruiting families to become foster or adoptive parents (identify recruitment opportunities and maintain a schedule, participate in events, assist applicants in acquiring documentation required to complete licensing process, etc.). E
- Record foster parent trainings and plan/implement/participate in foster care licensing trainings, ongoing support groups, and maintain an ongoing training schedule for foster parents. E
- Maintain compliance and safety for children and families (maintain up-to-date case information, complete SAFE Home Study Assessments, complete background checks on foster care licensing applicants, perform foster care licensing home visits, apply licensing requirements, complete re-licensing/licensing maintenance (address change, etc.) and provision changes, etc.). E
- Assist with foster care placements (assess treatment needs, provide therapeutic services, assist in problem solving efforts and treatment issues/conflicts affecting the placement of children, participate in the review of children referred for placement for matching purposes, etc.) NE
- Coordinate foster care support (prepare/discuss treatment plan, provide crisis intervention services, provide on-call coverage, develop and implement support plans, etc.). NE
- Follow legal, organizational and contractual requirements, laws and policies. E
- Complete/collect/process and/or submit required items by due dates. E
- Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all stakeholders. E
- Attend meetings and professional development activities. NE
- Follow all duties of a mandated reporter. E
- Perform other related duties as assigned. NE

Required Qualifications
- TFC R/L and Support Specialist I - Bachelor Degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Psychology, Criminology, Social Psychology, or Communications and a minimum of five (5) years of supervised experience in family or child welfare. An approved training plan will be implemented.
TFC R/L and Support Specialist II – Master Degree from an accredited school in Social Work and one (1) year of experience working with children and families.
TFC R/L and Support Specialist III – Master Degree from an accredited school in Social Work AND Advanced Practice Social Work (APSW) OR Master Degree from an accredited school in Community Counseling/Community Psychology/Clinical Psychology AND Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training (LPC-IT) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy-In Training (LMFT-IT) and one (1) year of experience working with children and families.
TFC R/L and Support Specialist IV – Master Degree from an accredited school in Social Work AND License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR Master Degree from an accredited school in Community Counseling/Community Psychology/Clinical Psychology AND Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) and one (1) year of experience working with children and families.
- Previous experience in foster care program preferred.
- Familiarity with Wisconsin Administrative Codes for foster care/foster care licensing preferred.
- Able to work and communicate frankly and effectively with adults, families, and all team members to implement problem solving strategies, understand issues, and to provide crisis services in an ethical, respectful, responsible manner.
- Able to demonstrate positive cultural intelligence with diverse groups and individuals.
- Excellent critical thinking, organizational skills, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication, verbal and written, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with others.
- Knowledge and experience with experience in using Microsoft Office suite.
- Transportation, valid Wisconsin Driver’s license, state minimum auto insurance, and must meet La Causa, Inc. driving standards.
- Must be able to successfully pass criminal history background checks.
- Must be able to work flexible hours based on program needs, including on-call.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is generally performed in field and office environments. Local travel required; some state-wide travel as needed. Flexible hours required; as dictated by program needs.
