Annual Celebration & Fundraiser to benefit La Causa Crisis Nursery & Respite Center
For more than 30 years, the Crisis Nursery & Respite Center has been keeping children safe from child abuse and neglect. The Crisis Nursery provides the critical support families need - and children deserve – during emergencies or when parents feel overwhelmed by life’s daily struggles. The Crisis Nursery is open 24/7/365-days a year, at no cost to families. Children at the Crisis Nursery receive clean clothes, home-cooked meals, diapers, warm baths, and nurturing care. Each year, the Crisis Nursery is home to an average of 600 children and 300 families. It is the only facility of its kind in Wisconsin. However, we would not exist without generous financial support.
We’re proud to announce that this year’s event will be held on Thursday, July 29th - all completely virtual. La Causa presents Cabin Fever, a camping-themed event where attendees will get to see inside our Crisis Nursery, bid on one-of-a-kind auction packages and purchase raffle tickets to a Peloton bike. All proceeds will directly support the Crisis Nursery.
We want everyone to learn about this critical program that supports children and families and are therefore not charging a fee for general admission to attend. All will be welcome to participate in the auction, raffle and make a donation. This will allow us to reach even more attendees than in years past and raise more awareness of our program and our supporters.

We are seeking interesting items and cash donations for our silent auction. We're looking for event tickets, gift cards, wine and liquor, handcrafted items, jewelry, unique experiences, hotel nights, themed baskets, and sports memorabilia - just about anything that will catch a guest's eye and tempt them to bid.
Will you help us with an auction item or monetary donation? Every contribution, regardless of size, will help us meet our annual budget and provide safe care for our children in need. No gift is too small – we typically assemble many exciting packages!
